Who is Alina K?

I am a Ukrainian model, wife, and mother based in Miami, Florida.

What are your first thoughts on awakening in the morning?

My first thought is my daughter; getting her up and ready for the day. I’ll also take my dog for a walk and grab a cup of coffee to help get the day started.

How did you get into modeling?

A scout found me training with my volleyball team at a gym. The scout encouraged me to attend modeling school, and then proceeded to sign me to her agency.

Who is your favorite photographer that you’ve ever worked with?

I’ve worked with so many incredible photographers over the years. Many are so talented and wonderful to work with. I can’t choose, I’ve had such wonderful yet different experiences with each one.

A favorite designer?

Bottega Veneta.

How would you describe your personal style?

I enjoy looking for interesting and unique pieces to wear. I am often drawn to more minimalistic pieces. I then find new up-and-coming designers—who may not be well known yet—but have interesting creations I can work into my outfits.

What accomplishment are you most proud of at this particular moment?

My biggest accomplishment that I am most proud of is my daughter Chloe. Everything I do is for her, and I try to set an example for her everyday on how to be a kind and good person.

What social issue are you most passionate about?

I love all animals, and am very passionate about animal rights. As a Ukrainian, I am also extremely passionate about the freedom my country and it’s citizens deserve.

What’s something you could eat for a week straight?

I love fresh seafood, especially sushi.

A place to lose yourself?

Modeling is a form of expression, freedom and meditation for me; I get lost in my work.

What makes a perfect man?

To me, my husband is the most perfect man and my best friend. He is extremely supportive of everything I do, and a wonderful father to our baby girl. Initially, what first attracted me to him was his incredible sense of humor.

What makes a perfect woman?

Kindness and empathy.

What would be your super power?

To heal people and animals.
