We caught up with Wanderluster Eugene Smirnov on the set of our recent cover shoot. He’s a bold man with a spiritual side—from his love of travel to his drink of choice, he bared all.

What's your first thought when you wake up?

My First thought when I wake up is burning desire to kiss my boyfriend. Just joking. My very first thought when I wake-up is to spend a penny.

Coffee or Tea man?

I’m a Tea man.

Dog.

Bath.

Briefs.

Are you a Perfect Man? In your opinion, what does it take to be the Perfect Man?

I am not perfect. In my opinion there are no perfect people. The perfect man has to be on top in everything. Usually being good in something means being bad in some other things. Of course it doesn't mean that we don't have to strive for perfection. To do your best in the gym, to have new experiences, to grow as a professional, to read books, and listen to music that inspires, this combination gets you closer to perfect.

What’s your favorite part of your body? And your least favorite?

I have no favorite and no least favorite body part on me. I like my whole body, I am in the harmony with it.

If life had a soundtrack what song would it be? What song is on your playlist right now?

The soundtrack of my life is David Bowie - I’m deranged, At the moment on my playlist is Lenny Kravitz - It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over

A favorite color?

Blue.

What’s your skincare routine, a favorite product you can’t live without?

I have no skincare routine, I just can't live without a bar of soap.

How do you stay fit while on a trip?

A trip is relaxation for my body, so I don't go to any gym while traveling. I just try to move more and to eat less carbohydrates.

An accomplishment you are you most proud of?

My daughter.

A favorite city?

Definitely, Rome.

What is the most unexpected thing that’s ever happened to you while travelling?

I was terribly sun burned while snorkeling in Vietnam, it was 8 a.m and I was robbed, they took all but my swim trunks I was wearing. The funny thing was, they transported me almost naked to the police station to hear testimony, which didn’t help at all in the end. Apparently, this typically happens in Vietnam.

What are your top international cities for men seeking Revelry, Relaxation and Reinvention.

Saint-Petersburg is my top city for the revelry. South-East Asia is the best for relaxation. I love Cambodia, Thailand and Indonesia. Also India where we shot the video. Relaxation ends when the looseness begins there. Of course, the best place for reinvention is a small house at the Volga River Bank where you can be alone.

What makes a place truly memorable for you?

A place will be memorable to me if it has some historical value and unique architecture. Although, good company helps to make every place comfortable.

What are your “must have” travel items?

Only my passport and my Visa Platinum.

Do you drink? If yes, what’s your drink of choice?

I like whiskey.

If you had a choice, where would you choose to spend your last day on earth?

I want to spend my final day alone in paradise.
