What are your first thoughts on awakening in the morning?

I pray first thing every morning, followed by a short meditation. I started this practice a couple of years ago and I feel it’s really helped with starting the day right. Less stressed and more grounded. Good for the mind. Feeling so positive and looking forward to the day ahead!

Do you drink coffee or tea?

I drink both. Really into my coffee though. We Have an awesome coffee machine at home.

Do you sing in the shower? If so, what was the last song?

Yes I do! Naughty Boy featuring Beyonce. Love it.

Where are you from?

From Scotland in the UK.

Your face (and body) are known globally, how were you chosen to model?

I fell into modeling fairly late in life. I played semi-pro rugby and my team was asked to do the advertising campaign for the Mr. Scotland competition. From this, I was chosen to enter the competition, which I ended up winning! First time on a catwalk in a kilt. The prize was a modeling contract and the title of Mr. Scotland.

Any humbling moments from your first time on set?

When I first went to New York, I booked a job for Ralph Lauren. It was my first time working with such a big client. The team who was styling me said Ralph Lauren is coming today to meet you guys! That was one of the most surreal experiences I’ve had. Meeting Ralph Lauren.

What are you working on at the moment?

I have a few options pencilled in. One in Turkey, one in the U.S. then I’m going to Milan in December.

What accomplishment are you most proud of at the moment?

I have worked for some top brands in places all over the world. Shooting the Davidoff campaign in Madrid and a Macy’s campaign in Mexico stand out for me. I still can’t believe I get to travel the world as a model. I’m very proud of this accomplishment.

If not modeling what would you be doing?

I also have a tree surgery business back home in Scotland. So whenever I’m not modeling; I’m busy up trees!

Method and guts.

What would be your super power?

To be invisible.

Do you read books? If so what was the last one?

I do, but I’m really into audio books now! Just finished life force. It’s a Tony Robbins book about life, how to prevent aging, disease etc.

Is there a quote that speaks to you?

“Never give up.” Simple, but a very good one to remember for modeling.

Talking or Texting?

Talking. Text conversations are too much when they keep going.

How would you describe your personal style?

I would say casual with a hint of style. Cool dad vibes.

Motorcycle or car?

Car. I have always been into fast cars and recently sold my beloved Porsche.

What does your grooming regimen look like?

Very basic; Haircut every three weeks. Trim my beard every few days. I do facials every month because I’m getting old!

Do you think it’s important for a man to be sexy?

Yes, I think when a man feels sexy, he feels confident. When you’re confident, things work out for you.

What makes you very happy?

My family. Super grateful to have such a good support network around me. Playing sport. It’s the best feeling. Traveling for work and visiting new places makes me happy too.

Dogs or cats?

Dogs.

What do you expect from your friends?

Just to be there when you need a chat or a beer. I think a good friend is someone you don’t have to speak to every day but can pick up where you left off.

What does your exercise regimen look like?

I train 5-6 times per week in the gym. I try and cycle when possible. I’m pretty sporty, so I play Rugby and Golf lots too, which is good for cardio.

What quality do you appreciate most in a woman?

Kindness and positivity.

A place to lose yourself?

My family has a house on the Isle of Harris. We go there every summer. It’s the most scenic and peaceful place in the world. No phone signal and beautiful beaches with hardly anyone on them. It’s amazing. Makes you feel very chill and detached from the world.

What social issue are you most passionate about?

I think depression and rejection are such important things. I’ve realized that modeling is a hard industry to be involved with and these issues are always prevalent. I actually contacted a therapist in 2020 to help me work through these kind of problems. Made such a difference on my mind set.
